Be a Better Friend — Use VoxOx!

VoxOx wants you to be a better friend. That’s right, you read it correctly. I mean, when’s the last time you tried to get in touch with your buddy who went abroad? You keep saying that you mean to call right? But you still don’t, and we think we know why.

Keeping up with friends dispersed around the globe is not easy. We mean well, but we get caught up in our jobs, our social lives at home, and whatever else we’re doing (watching re-runs of “30 Rock” online) that we put off that call, forget to send that email, or never plan that visit. This is a total game changer, right? Think about it this way. Were I to text my friend Alex in Madrid from my cell phone with one of the regular services, it would cost me … a whole lot. I mean, Alex is a good friend of mine, but dude’s gonna put me in the poor house if I keep that up for awhile. So, in comes VoxOx with the $9.95 texting (again, unlimited) meaning that our interaction can be a lot quicker than just sending emails, or having a Facebook chat session at 3 A.M. Now, just by picking Alex from my contact list, hitting the SMS icon and typing in my text, I can share my inappropriate jokes in real time.

    that´s a good deal, but what happens to those of us in the receiving end? How do we get back to you? I think this is exactly why completely new and global means of communication are so popular (everything from facebook to skype), because both the receiving and sending end of the message have the same or relatively the same cost to take action and send love across the globe. Unfortunately, this only applies to the sender of love, whom eventually could be discouraged to send love if no love returned to him/her. hahahaha… great post though!

    Thanks for your comment, glad to see you reading the blog! To clarify, we are not necessarily trying to get people to send SMS who didn’t previously, so we are not increasing any costs for either end of the conversation. We are simply reducing your costs to do something you have already been doing. Or…. your friend could just get VoxOx, and you two can text, IM, call, video chat, email, file share, fax, etc… for free! :)
