Due to today's tragic events in Japan, Voxox is dropping all usage charges to the area, thereby enabling free calls, texts and faxes to get in touch with families, friends and co-workers impacted by the earthquake and tsunami disaster.

This policy is applicable to new and existing Voxox users and is effective immediately until 12am Pacific Time, Tuesday, March 15th, 2011 (which is 6pm Tuesday in Japan).  (SEE UPDATE.)

While some areas of Japan continue to be impacted by various communications and public infrastructure related outages, we will deliver messages on a best effort basis.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with those affected, and their families.

If you do not have a Voxox account, sign up for free here.

UPDATE: We've extended this offer (free calls, texts and faxes to Japan) until March 31, 2011. Please pass along to anyone who may find it a useful resource.
