Posted by Tristan Barnum on Nov 24, 2010

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, we wanted to give thanks to our loyal fans and dedicated users by opening up the private beta of the latest version of Voxox!

Since August, we've been keeping a lid on this new version, available by invite-only at voxox.com.  This week we’ve done away with the invite process and opened up an early build to the public. The official release of the “new Voxox” will be launched at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) first week of January 2011. Meanwhile, we’d love some last minute feedback on this latest build before our big Vegas launch.

So sign up and let us know what you think... and happy Thanksgiving from the Voxox team!

A New Voxox is on the Way...

Posted by Tristan Barnum on Aug 17, 2010

Over the past year and a half, we’ve been collecting and reviewing a ton of feedback from our wonderful beta users, and based on this feedback, we’ve been working behind the scenes to completely revamp Voxox. The new Voxox will still let you do everything you did in the past -- collect your many contacts in one place, call, text, chat, fax, share large files, and so much more for free or super cheap -- but, it’ll be a whole new experience.

Sign up for your new Voxox invitation today, and we’ll be in touch very soon.

BTW, if you’re looking for the old Voxox, don’t worry – we’re still supporting the existing version in the meantime. Simply log in with your credentials on our homepage to access resources (and, if you really need to, you can even download the old copy on Download.com).

Stay tuned for the arrival of the newbie!

Four Reasons You May Want a Voxox Virtual Number (or Numbers)

Posted by Tristan Barnum on Jul 21, 2010

We here at Voxox are bringing you, our loyal and dedicated users, even more tools to take control of your communication headaches … um, I mean needs. With this week's launch of Voxox's virtual numbers, we've made it possible for you to add custom phone numbers from a bevy of area codes (100+ to be specific),  so that you can “be local” anywhere in the U.S. and major cities in Canada.

You can even do a “vanity” search for phone numbers that might spell your name, or snag specific digits you like. The calls you receive to these virtual numbers will forward to Voxox and can be forwarded to any other phone numbers via Voxox Find Me (our call forwarding feature). So … you can give out a number like 212-BEN-5555 and have it ring your cell phone. Pretty cool, right?

There are probably a million ways to use these new virtual numbers, but I was thinking of a few of them, and I thought I’d share a few:

1) For your Craigslist ads

Looking for a roommate on Craigslist? It would be useful to give out a contact number, but you may not be thrilled with the idea of some stranger having your cell phone or home number. The nice thing about virtual numbers is that you can just add the new number for a month, forward it to your cell, and when you’re done, cancel the number. So easy.
