The Voxox team is at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona right now and we’ve just announced a new program for operators (aka carriers, aka phone companies). We’re making it possible for operators to add Voxox apps to their arsenal of features and services for their customers, under their own brand name. Who wants Voxox on every phone? We do! We do!
Here’s more info from our announcement at the show for the more technically-minded folks who want the specifics...
Voxox For Operators Program Launches to Empower Service Providers to Go Beyond Rich Communication Services (RCS)
At Mobile World Congress, Voxox by Telcentris demonstrates industry’s most comprehensive suite of features and mobile applications that go beyond RCS, including cloud telephony and business services with OTT benefits
BARCELONA (MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS) – February 26, 2013 – Telcentris® Inc., a leader in unified cloud communications and the creator of Voxox® and Voxox In Business™, today announced the debut of its Voxox For Operators™ Program aimed at empowering Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and other service providers to economically deliver the industry’s most comprehensive suite of Rich Communication Services (RCS) and Over-The-Top (OTT) cloud applications and features. At the Mobile World Congress App Planet exhibition (Booth 8.1L6), company executives are demonstrating how operators can leverage the company’s RCS 5.1-compatible, cloud communications solutions to deliver carrier-grade VoIP, video, rich messaging, social network integration, SMS, fax, and similar functionality to their customers.
The Voxox For Operators Program enables operators to neutralize the OTT threat by providing immediate access to white-labelable, carrier-grade services, applications and features that include and surpass the RCS 5.1 feature set. This revenue-sharing partnership program, which exploits client-based provisioning and the “network effect,” offers mobile operators and service providers a first-to-market advantage to deliver innovative functionality, such as intelligent call routing, language translation, voicemail transcription, fax, personal assistant, business VoIP services such as hosted IP-PBX, and other disruptive cloud services. The program eliminates technology and infrastructure risk by allowing clients to build, scale and monetize powerful mobile and fixed-line solutions anywhere in world without capital expenditure and little upfront investment. These consumer and business-to-business applications can be delivered using the operator’s own brand via white labeling or co-branding options.
“With the popularity of smartphones and over-the-top apps such as Skype, WhatsApp and Voxox, operators have experienced a significant displacement of voice and messaging revenues,” said Bryan Hertz, CEO of Telcentris, creator of Voxox and Voxox In Business. “However, operators can neutralize the threat of OTT services by white labeling their own mobile VoIP applications and features that go beyond RCS and marketing them to their customer base as well as industry-wide. We see a mutually beneficial opportunity to work with operators, rather than against them, and that is the purpose of our new Voxox For Operators Program.”
As a registered Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC), Telcentris is a phone company, and with its proprietary IP-based cloud communications platform, the company is in a unique position to deliver services that exceed those offered by typical RCS technology and service providers. At Mobile World Congress, the company’s executive team is showcasing white labelable iOS and Android mobile apps, designed specifically for the new Voxox For Operators Program. Demo highlights include leveraging one phone number anywhere in the world, across any type of device; most specifically mobile phones, tablets, personal computers, and IP telephones.
Overseeing this new initiative is the company’s EVP, Pertti Johansson, a former Qualcomm and Motorola executive. Johansson is attending Mobile World Congress to meet with prospective program members to discuss white labeling and co-branding opportunities available through the Voxox For Operators program. The program is open to MNOs, MVNOs, fixed-line operators, and other communications service providers.
