A few years ago, we announced our awesome wholesale SMS offering (SMS Solutions) designed to streamline communication between businesses and their customers. Accessible through a web service API, SMS Solutions enables businesses looking to SMS-enable their products, services and customer communications to do so quickly and affordably. With our CLEC operations, Voxox has some major perks and ways to help businesses cut costs on one-way notifications (for example, sending a text to subscribers regarding the status of their order) and two-way SMS communications (for example, verifying a customer’s identity).
Since introducing this offering, we've nearly doubled our operator network and we've grown the global reach for the outbound SMS to virtually anywhere in the world. Also, as part of the announcement today, we are now offering UK DIDs (telephone numbers) for inbound SMS communications. See our official press release below for the full scoop!
Voxox Announces Expansion of Wholesale SMS Solutions
Accessible through web-service API, Voxox’s SMS Solutions offering near-doubles operator network, grows global reach for outbound service, and adds UK DIDs
SAN DIEGO – December 16, 2014 – Voxox®, the most comprehensive cloud-based rich communication service for consumers and businesses, today announced the expansion of the company’s SMS Solutions. An end–to–end wholesale offering accessible through a web–service API, SMS Solutions is designed to address the needs of businesses looking to SMS-enable their products, services and customer communications. The latest installment of SMS Solutions has extended its inbound SMS delivery to Europe, adding United Kingdom DIDs (telephone numbers) to its previously available U.S. and Canadian DIDs. Additionally, the outbound SMS service has grown significantly in reach since its introduction in late 2010, having nearly doubled its operator network and increased global wholesale SMS coverage to virtually any destination worldwide.
"SMS is a critical asset in streamlining communication between businesses and their customers,” said Bryan Hertz, CEO of Voxox. “We’ve seen great interest and growth in our wholesale SMS customer base, ranging from global consumer brands to major security and software companies. The unique combination of our fully redundant, carrier–grade network in the cloud, CLEC operations and award–winning service delivery platform has poised us for success in this arena.”
SMS Solutions are available for:
One–way SMS notifications – for example, sending a text to subscribers regarding the status of a delayed flight.
Two–way communication with SMS–enabled DIDs – for example, verifying a customer’s identity.
Inbound SMS delivery is offered via both long code (U.S., Canada, United Kingdom) and dedicated short code (U.S. only). Outbound delivery is worldwide via long code and in the U.S. via both long and short code (shared and dedicated). The solution is accessible through a web–service API. Minimum usage is 20,000 texts per month.
“Due to our CLEC operations and global portfolio of direct carrier relationships, we are able to offer very competitive pricing to our wholesale customers,” added Corey Hertz, director of wholesale products at Voxox. “For example, our homegrown solution offers voice-enabled, two-way SMS phone numbers without involving any intermediary company, which provides customers the ability to cost-effectively and seamlessly transition from a text conversation into a voice call. Cost savings, rock solid infrastructure and convenient set-up through a web service API are instrumental in the popularity of this offering.”
Voxox offers a comprehensive suite of communication solutions for consumers and businesses, all with a single underlying back-end infrastructure and unified communications Service Delivery Platform (SDP). Developed entirely in-house by a seasoned team of technologists, the SDP enables Voxox to bypass expensive licensing fees that competitors have to pay, allowing Voxox to offer its customers some of the most competitive rates in the industry.
