Voxox's parent company Telcentris announced today that the company's service delivery platform, which powers Voxox and Telcentris' business divisions, won Internet Telephony magazine's Product of the Year Award for 2010!  We're very excited and honored to receive this recognition and are glad that our Voxox customers are on this award-winning underlying platform.

The team made it back safely from a very successful Consumer Electronic Show (CES)  launch of the new Voxox. But it wasn't just the cool functionality that got attention. The Voxox team is at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas right now, and we just announced the official release of its latest version, dubbed the “new Voxox.” With this release, the Voxox desktop software presents a completely redesigned look, feel and feature integration. We've also introduced a slew of awesome new features:

Voxox Unified Messaging Window

• Unified Messaging Window - first ever to stream all modes of conversation in a single view

• Voicemail transcription - first ever to be delivered as an instant message (in addition to SMS and email)

Contact merging - which offers the ultimate "interactive" address book experience

• Voxox Call Connect – service that allows you to trigger a VoIP call on any device

• My.Voxox - expanded Voxox web portal that allows you to mange your Find Me, Call Connect for SMS (a.k.a. SMS callback), buy virtual numbers, etc. -- all without having to log into the software

• Lastly, we've expanded our free phone number selection options - new users get to select their free Voxox phone number at no charge (previously there was a cost associated with this)

Our company Telcentris, Inc. today announced that Rob Lewis, a former Qualcomm and Vivendi/Universal product guru, is our VP of Product Management. Rob will be overseeing strategy development for the company's products and services, including Voxox. 





Rob has more than 22 years experience in the high-tech industry, including positions in software development, marketing, and product management in both large and small organizations.


Here's what Rob had to say about joining the team:


“The communications industry is undergoing a transformational shift right now in the way people communicate and stay connected with friends, family and business contacts. I look forward to working with customers and team members to expand our strategy and deliver the best products and services on the market. This is an exciting time to be joining Telcentris.”

Well here we go again… an award here, an award there – a list here, a list there…..it just keeps getting better and better!   

If you’ve been keeping track of the Voxox Blog, you’ll know that the list of awards is growing.  Now, to add another feather (or two) to our proverbial caps, Voxox was named to PC Magazine’s prestigious annual list of “Best Free Software” for 2010.  According to PC Magazine, the 2010 list consists of 196 programs that “cost nothing but will make your computing life richer -- all while keeping your wallet fat.”   

Believe me, in these economic times it’s pretty tough to maintain a “fat” wallet and we’re very happy to be able to help with that!

We’ve also been named to the top 50 list of the most disruptive Voice over IP (VoIP) service providers by analyst firm Heavy Reading in the report titled, “Disruptive VoIP Services: What Carriers Need to Know,” by analyst Robert Poe.

You may not have realized it, but as you signed into Voxox today, you were doing so with a service that is exactly one year old. That's right, Voxox went live on Nov. 3, 2008.


To celebrate this momentous occasion, we wanted to raise a virtual glass of champagne, or sparkling cider if you prefer, in your honor and personally thank all of our beta users for their support and participation over the last 365 days. We certainly have come a long way!


To give you an idea of our evolution, I wanted to show you a screenshot of what Voxox looked like upon launch, and what it looks like now (well, I guess you already know that).

In addition to the obvious difference in color, Voxox has been bolstered with an array of new features and functionality that -- taken as a whole -- you can't find anywhere else in the industry. No other service unifies eight major communication channels -- from voice to social networking -- into a single interface.
