A few months ago, I let everyone know that we would be making significant changes to the organizational structure and responsibilities of Voxox's Customer Service. The plan was to implement a multi-tiered technical support structure with well documented processes and create a Provisioning Team with well defined responsibilities and workflows that would increase the quality of service and reduce the speed of execution. To improve operational performance, we needed to build metrics so we could increase our capability of managing performance against goals. I am pleased to announce that we have completed this transition.

Remember how in December of last year, we wrote about growing the team? Well, we've kept our word! Today we announced that our company has nearly doubled its workforce in the first quarter of 2013, expanding operations in San Diego, as well as internationally. We also announced that we've added Joe Lawrence of Qualcomm fame as our Chief Marketing Officer, and entrepreneur, Tristan Barnum, as VP of Marketing.

While members of the Voxox team (and our execs) are walking the halls of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the folks over at our business division, Voxox In Business, which provides VoIP and unified communications solutions to businesses, are at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo in Vegas this week.  This event is huge for us as it allows us to meet and thank our valued channel partners who are the driving sales force of our business products and services.

The Voxox team is at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona right now and we’ve just announced a new program for operators (aka carriers, aka phone companies). We’re making it possible for operators to add Voxox apps to their arsenal of features and services for their customers, under their own brand name. Who wants Voxox on every phone? We do! We do!

Big news -- we just announced that our company has raised $5.3 million to support growth for Voxox and Voxox In Business global initiatives, particularly in the mobile sphere. This funding is a result of the company's agreement with investment banking advisory firm, Pepperwood Partners, which is assisting us in this first institutional round. (Previously, the company was funded by angel and family office investors.)
