Voxox Expands Beyond Rich Communications with Original Entertainment Content Strategy

Communications app to produce social and mobile entertainment content to extend its appeal to consumers through original artwork and story-telling

BARCELONA (MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS) and SAN DIEGO – February 25, 2014Voxox®, the most comprehensive cloud-based rich communication service for consumers and businesses, today announced at Mobile World Congress, being held at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain, February 24-27, 2014, the company’s plans to publish original entertainment content through its social and mobile channels, as well as offer a means of delivering entertainment content for its OEM and operator partners. Now the company is expanding its focus to include original story-telling and artwork created exclusively for its end-users.

Voxox’s first original content initiative is a social entertainment series running now through May 2, 2014. The series, which is titled ROFL: A Rhinoceros and Octopus Find Love, features weekly “high art” graphic-novel-type imagery as well as minimalist archetypal imagery throughout the week. A new episode is posted to Twitter each workday at noon, and reposted to the Voxox Pinterest, Google+, Facebook and Tumblr accounts throughout the week. All the episodes, in sequential order, will be available on Tumblr at ROFLaLoveStory.com. Story creators, Voxox creative directors, Don Richmond and Ian LeWinter, have previously produced successful artwork and graphic novels with large social followings.

Initially, the original content will be available through Voxox social channels and in the onboarding process, but future series will integrate exclusive original content into its mobile and desktop applications. The original entertainment content strategy will also extend to the company’s Voxox For Operators partnership program, which enables service providers to economically deploy the industry’s most comprehensive suite of products, telephony services and cloud communication features that go Beyond Rich CommunicationTM. Voxox’s content initiatives will offer operators a turnkey model and delivery mechanism for content distribution, leveraging exclusive, original content, either provided by the partner or in collaboration with the Voxox creative team.
