Remember how in December of last year, we wrote about growing the team? Well, we've kept our word! Today we announced that our company has nearly doubled its workforce in the first quarter of 2013, expanding operations in San Diego, as well as internationally. We also announced that we've added Joe Lawrence of Qualcomm fame as our Chief Marketing Officer, and entrepreneur, Tristan Barnum, as VP of Marketing.

Remember how recently at Mobile World Congress we launched Voxox For Operators, a program that empowers operators and other service providers to economically deliver the industry’s most comprehensive suite of Rich Communication Services (RCS) and Over-The-Top (OTT) cloud applications and features to their customers? Well, we thought we'd get a bit more into this topic by talking about what OTT is and why it's important.

Vacation days are hard to come by, so why waste them on a trip you're not geeked-out on? While others are racing off to beaches, bungalows and concerts this summer, take a break from the ordinary and go somewhere a little unexpected -- a place designed just for geeks!

To help you plan your geek-cation, we've rounded up a few of our favorite super geeky vacation ideas. These destinations may not be loaded with beach babes or coconut-flavored adult beverages, but there are a few perks to going out on the geek side — you'll always be connected and there will be tons of other gadget junkies just like you! From theme parks, to museums, to techy conventions and annual events, there's something here for every type of geek.

Think today is going to be just another Monday at the office? Think again! It's April Fools' Day, meaning it's the one day of the year it's acceptable to prey on the gullible and intentionally set your co-workers up for some unsuspected fun.

You've finally landed in Bali after an 18 hour flight from New York City and all you really want is to relax by the beach in the swanky vacation rental you secured online. But wait, before you can kick back you have to text the rental company so they can deliver your keys. Texting, not a problem right? Think again! International texting isn't cheap and high roaming charges will skyrocket your monthly bill... not exactly what you want to find in your mailbox after a week of R and R. So what are you to do?

Feeling lucky? We sure are! St. Patty's Day is just around the corner, so from a leprechaun's pot of gold to a lucky green shamrock, we hope you find a stroke of Irish luck this holiday! Happy Saint Patrick's Day from the Voxox team.

Mobile World Congress 2013 was a four day extravaganza full of tech innovation, new tablet and smartphone announcements, partnerships and new initiatives (like our new Voxox For Operators program!) and a time for the industry's top thought leaders to get together and share ideas. We've been looking forward to it for months and can't believe it's already over.

The Voxox team is at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona right now and we’ve just announced a new program for operators (aka carriers, aka phone companies). We’re making it possible for operators to add Voxox apps to their arsenal of features and services for their customers, under their own brand name. Who wants Voxox on every phone? We do! We do!

On February 25-28, 2013, Barcelona will host the biggest and baddest mobile tech show in the world -- Mobile World Congress... and the Voxox team will be well represented. 

Our founders -- Bryan Hertz (CEO), Kevin Hertz (CTO), Robert Hertz (CIO) -- plus our EVP of Global Business Development, Pertti Johansson, along with others on our team, will all be at the event. They'll be demoing our latest and greatest apps in development; meeting with partners and potential partners; customers and potential customers; and basking in the glory of mobile innovation everywhere. We'll also have fun promos (think back to the Voxox alien at CES) and news to announce.
