What if you were offered a bigger house for free? Would you take it? Of course you would! Even if you were perfectly happy with your current place, you could always use more space, another bathroom and perhaps even a better location.

Over-the-top (OTT) services have soared in popularity since 2012, and operators are continuing to feel the impact on their bottom-lines. Juniper Research projects that operators will lose up to $14 billion over the next year as consumers continue to rely on OTT communications as a means of connecting, rather than their traditional phone plans. However, what's changing is mindset of operators around the globe in regards to forming OTT partnerships.

Traveling is an adventure. However, we all have our own definition of what an adventure entails. I like reclining poolside, sipping on the daily drink special, rather than venturing forth and doing something athletic, like kayaking or hiking, for example. In fact, I tried kayaking once, with disastrous results. But that’s another story for another time.

When I was a kid growing up in Southern California, there were predictions of an earthquake along the San Andreas Fault that would cause the entire west coast of the state to break away from the continent and fall into the ocean. I laugh at this now but at the time I was pretty scared.

Believe it or not, there are ways to say “I love you” without spending a penny! And oftentimes, they are better than expensive gifts — just don’t tell my honey I said that. Some of the best gifts I’ve ever received have been ones that cost the giver virtually nothing. A love note, a picture, a specially made origami swan — these are gifts you keep forever. Think about all the gifts you get from a dog. No, I’m not talking about that! I mean the unconditional love, the greeting at the end of the day, the snuggles just when you need them (and sometimes when you don’t). Usually a dog doesn’t have money, but the gifts they give are priceless!

If you’re a Voxox user, you’ve been making free phone calls. But have you ever wondered how Voxox can provide such a valuable service at no cost? When you use a traditional phone service, you can imagine little electrons of your voice being carried up a telephone pole, over some wires and then down another telephone pole to the person at the other end.

Face it. People make mistakes. In restaurants: “You mean you ordered the grilled scallop risotto and NOT the scalloped potatoes?” At home: “Oops, I thought that bag was for Goodwill.” Many mistakes are annoying but fixable. When you sign up for a contract with a mobile service provider, it may not be so easy.

A guest at a recent holiday party, knowing my obsession with Voxox, asked me why, of all the OTT mobile apps available, they should use Voxox. Like anyone who is asked about their obsession, I was eager to engage in the conversation.

Welcome to 2015! It’s time to wipe the proverbial slate clean and start anew. Blow the dust off your workout gear, reacquaint yourself with vegetables, volunteer at the local shelter and go for that new job. But hurry! You’ve only got two weeks until the New Year’s resolution zeal begins to wear off!

OTT communications has been a hot topic this year, and now it's getting the attention of the Vietnamese telecommunications ministry. The organization is drafting a bill which would bring foreign OTT communications apps (like Voxox!) under government control to continue operating in the country.
Under the bill, OTT communications services that collect fees from Vietnamese users will be required to install servers in Vietnam or sign commercial deals with local providers in order to operate over their networks. The proposal will also prohibit OTT apps from using Vietnam’s internet infrastructure to connect phone calls between app users and local phone numbers.
